Event Announcement: Chamaeleon Goes Crazy

10 Nights of Special Music Styles + Drinks & Cocktails: thats the name of an upcoming event series this Spring. The event takes place at the “Chamaeleon Cocktail Bar” in my home town Luckenwalde. Each event is musically presented by Magic Through Music.

Two friends - Asparagus and Dee Liver - and me will be rotating through 10 nights, presenting a - more or less - different music style at each night. Indeed not every night will be electronic, but that doesn’t mean that it will become less interesting. Below is the schedule with all dates and the original flyer for the event. Would be cool to meet the one or the other there.

Event Schedule:

  • 7.3. Funk & Soul: Asparagus
  • 15.3. Minimal House: Tobias Lear
  • 21.3. Easter Special: Dee Liver
  • 4.4. From Detroit to Tokio: Tobias Lear
  • 11.4. 80’s Revival: Asparagus
  • 19.4. Vocal House Classics: Dee Liver
  • 2.5. Deep N’ Groovy: Tobias Lear
  • 9.5. May To Dream Away: Dee Liver
  • 11.5. Deep Tech House: Tobias Lear
  • 16.5. Latino Sunrise N’ Lounge: Asparagus

For those of you who is not holding a flyer for the event in his hands right now, here is the original one with all information and finally all cocktail specials ;) Oh and it’s free entry!

Breakout: Opening Mix Set

Welcome to magic through music! I actually don’t want to spam you with too much text here. Simply enjoy the first mix set for now! I recorded it approx. two years ago in early 2006. It starts with some minimal tunes and grows to acid house and some technoid stuff. I think it’s a good average of the stuff that was released in 2004/05, however some tracks are a bit older. Don’t blame me for that ;) Anyway, it’s a quite good set to open Magic Through Music.

And here is the track list. I had to look-up some of these tracks in my collection, since I hadn’t noted anything back at this day. The one of you who is more interested in electronic music and it’s releases probably notice the weight of the Swedish and Finnish producers here. This has to do with the increasing number of acid house releases back in those days.

Track List:

  1. Luna City Express - Winter Radio - Moon Harbour
  2. Boogie Drama - Stalkers Groove (John Tejada’s Stalking Groove remix) - Was Not Was
  3. Phonogenic - Truth & Reconciliation - 20:20 Vision
  4. Sasse - Soul Sounds (Freestyle Man Dope Mix) - Mood Music
  5. Spirit Catcher - Voo Doo Knight - Mood Music
  6. Dahlbäck & Dahlbäck - Forsberg Loves the Acid - Turbo
  7. DJ Manny Groove - Back 2 Face U - Bambossa
  8. Hugg & Pepp - Finska Pinnar - Dahlbäck
  9. Koze - Brutalga Square - Kompakt Speicher
  10. Dub Kult - On and On (Guido Schneider Mix) - Raum..musik
  11. B. - Minikool (Guido Schneider Mix) - Tuning Spork
  12. Alexkid - Don’t Hide It (Alexkid’s Acid Dub) - F-Comm
  13. DK9 - The New Beginning (Reworked) - DK

Enjoy and let me know, what you think of it!
