Mix #10: Magic May 2010

Back with mix no. 10, and this is going to be special. Down tempo house – or whatever name is currently used – is kinda in at the moment. However, only some tracks are appropriate presenting them in a mix I think. This one tries to tie together down tempo arrangements with danceable underground house music, spanning the bridge between sweet vocals and hypnotic drum patterns.

You’ll find the track list below. Enjoy!

Tracklist:

  • Eddie C – My Woman – Wolf Music
  • Ryo Murakami – Just For This – Dessous
  • KZA – Open Up (Slow Version) – Endless Flight
  • Sascha Dive – Jus Groove – Tsuba
  • Ron Deacon – Untitled B2 – Workshop
  • Andrade – Face De Bouc – Dessous
  • JT Donaldson – Talk To Them – Amenti Music
  • Nufrequency – Fallen Hero feat. Ben Onono (Motor City Drum Ensemble Remix) – Rebirth
  • Motorcitysoul – Cipher (Jay Shepeard 2nd Remix) – Stir15
  • Show-B – On A String (Dub Mix) – Compost
  • DC – Riot – Drumpoet Community
  • 40 Thieves – Don’t Turn It Off feat. Qzen – Permanent Vacation

First Live Video Stream

I’m proud that yesterday’s first live video stream was successful and went really well. Thanks to all listeners! I hope that you enjoyed the music and the show in general. I’m curious about your feedback, so drop me a comment.

I’ve started at bit earlier playing warm-up tracks. Playing one or two hours DJ set is quite short and therefore isn’t that easy. I actually had the plan of a small track list I prepared, but honestly – like live itself – it’s easier to play spontaneously and so I did for majority of the show. It’s just more fun :) I’m not pretty sure, about the actual sound and video quality, but I think it was OK. However, feedback here is also welcome.

If you want to re-listen to the mix and the video, you can do so below. I’ve recorded the show. The track list can be found below:

Tracklist:

  • Love Birds – The Beat Goes Boom – Buzzin’ Fly
  • Jay Tripwire – Metropolis Of Lights – Seasons

Mix #08: May 2009 Mix Set: A look in her eyes

Good house music is timeless, so would like to take the chance to post a mix set, which I did some time ago. The set primarily focuses on deep house with some tracks having nice arranged vocals. A special glance is given to Charles Webster who’s remixes I really like. This guy has an incredibly long list of high quality contributions, which it is worth to mention.

Get the mix set, relax with some friends and enjoy the music!

If you are interested in the track list, please send me an email or post a comment.
